I don’t know about at YOUR house, but here at the Tomlinson Ranchero of Love, Christmas blew through like it had somewhere to be RIGGGHHH NOW! Lol It was a good one, though. For the first time in 2 years, my family gathered for about an hour here locally (in Memphis). I was off work for 6 days, so I was able to get some much needed rest, enjoy some movies and shows, and did a bit of cooking to give to the family. It was such a good time. I got a new FRIENDS puzzle, new flamingo themed socks, a set of remote control candles (I’ve wanted some for quite a while), a beautiful flamingo necklace, wine cup, perfume, and most of all, quality time with loved ones. The floof crew had a great visit from Santa, and they were super excited on Christmas morning to get into all their new gifts! It was really cute to watch! I also attended a candle light service, as well as one of the most fun White Elephant Ornament Exchanges ever, at a local church a friend of mine pastors, and drove around looking at Christmas lights with Aunt Connie and then ate dinner at a local Asian-themed restaurant on Christmas Eve. I think we created a new tradition!
Most folks I know take the week between Christmas and New Year to rest and just…blob. LOL. Not a thing wrong with that, if that’s your cup of tea. For me, I attend training by some of my business and life mentors. I deep clean my house, and plan for the new year. I set intentions, I pray about my purpose in the new year, etc. I’ll be honest, I didn’t go about it very heavy last year. I, like most everyone else, was on survival mode most of 2020 and 2021. Not in 2022! I’ve got a mission, a purpose and a plan! WOOWEEEE! I can’t WAIT to get started!
As we reflect on the past year, and prepare for the new one, it’s my sincerest prayer and hope everyone who sees this releases all negativity and latches on to hope and creates a vision for the new year ahead. I’m doing the same. We will be running past shows of Walking In Memphis With Kimber over on Speedway Radio for the next several weeks as I focus on my upcoming surgery (1/11) and recovery (which should be minimal from what the surgeon has told me).
Spread love, be kind, laugh a lot and make the most of every single moment. Here’s to 2022, may it be an amazing one for each and every one of you!!!
