The world’s largest Rockabilly event is gearing up to get underway April 14th-17th 2022 at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Vegas. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Rockabilly world in it’s truest form, this is the place to be.

This year, due to the fact I had surgery and my Speedway Radio partner is busy over in Mexico, I asked a friend of mine if he might be interested in being a special correspondent on behalf of the station and my show, “Walking In Memphis With Kimber”. He was already going (driving in from Canada!) and he was onboard immediately! He’s geared up to do some interviews with some of the artists, and take some pictures and videos I’ll add to the website. I just want to say a huge thank you to Dean for doing this, because I know it’s taking time away from just simply enjoying being there! I am excited to see what he comes up with!! If you are there and see him, please go up to him and say hi and take a picture for the website!

VLV was founded by Tom Ingram, who’s been organizing music weekenders for over 30 years and has been a DJ for 45 years. Tom was awarded with “Tom Ingram Day,” in 2017, and “Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend” was officially recognized by the city in 2018 and 2019, by the Mayor of the City of Las Vegas to acknowledge its contributions to the city’s entertainment and tourism industries. Ingram also co-owns and DJs on Rockin 247 Radio, which streams Rockabilly online 24 hours a day.

Rockabilly fanatics roll into Vegas from ALL around the world. Y’all, the first time I went, I was speechless. It takes a lot for me to be speechless. I’ve never even DRESSED up in any of the Rockabilly or Pinup styles, but I love them nonetheless. The best part of the entire weekend is the music and people watching. You never know WHO you will run upon while there. I didn’t know ANYONE that time I went, but it was so worth it. Now, I know folks from all around the world, and I hope to get back to Vegas next year to hang out and have fun. I got to meet Elvira while I was there, so that was cool! OH, they also have a cool car show and burlesque bingo shows, and a myriad of events to fit into anyone’s specific tastes. The TikiPool Party and Swimsuit competition is especially fun.

I could go on and on, but go check out their website for yourselves. You won’t be disappointed.
Check back for cool updates from our special correspondent on the scene all weekend!
