Let me start off by saying, I know I’m a day late and a dollar short in blogging. I’ve been busy. I mean, like I look up and it’s bedtime, or way past it and I still have so much to do before I stop for the night. It’s been that way for over a week straight and there doesn’t seem to be any slowing down any time soon. I love it.
So, you know how I blogged all about my experience going through the Bartlett PD Citizens Police Academy? Well, Ole Cap introduced me to Terry Hollahan from The Bartlett Express Newspaper who was very excited to sit down and chat with me about my time in the course, as well as my life, in general. Here’s the cover of the actual newspaper. I made front page, baby, and ABOVE THE FOLD at that! Nowthatswhatimtalkingabout.
I actually set up a day/time to go up to The Bartlett Express offices and chat with Terry, which was so much fun. He recorded our conversation and was super professional. I didn’t really think we would dive into my own life experiences as much as we did, but it was really amazing to talk with someone who seemed to think some of the things I’ve done in life were cool enough to write about! Kinda felt validating to have someone appreciate some of my accomplishment, if I’m being honest!
For those of you who might want to read the actual article…you can read it HERE. He did a bang-up job of meshing some of my blog bits into the article, and the pics speak for themselves.
I guess I owe Ole Cap another thank ya for doing that…sigh…and that means I also can’t complain too much from here on out about earning that dang cone crusher award after all.
Hey, Terry, thanks, man. I really enjoyed our talk, love the article, and I hope to cross paths down the road!
